PRESENT PROBLEMS

  • The present and evident issues we see in our communities such as the lack of relevant job training that aligns to a 21st-century economy.

  • A decimated education system that has failed to adequately equip and prepare students for real-world realities.

  • Limited available community facilities that are causing a great many of our youths and young adults to turn to unlawful crime elements.

  • Lack of safe and adequate affordable housing units facilities.

  • These issues have caused cracks within our system that is affecting many of our youths and adults (this is not limited to only, but especially for our men) who find themselves at a major disadvantage especially socially and economically within our society.

TACKLING THE PROBLEMS

  • “Project Total Man” seeks to respond to these problems by providing an outlet and venue for youth sports activities, after school lunch programs, and homework assistance.

  • Partnering and providing training and development opportunities for youths and adults such as GED preparation, job and business training.

  • Looking to provide life skills in marriage, parenting, mentorship, relationships, money management and investing

  • In addition, our vision is looking to partner with other organizations and programs in obtaining funding in providing assistance for ex-offenders who were previously incarcerated to transition back into society to be productive citizens.

  • The vision will also have a target focus on IT development in the use and support through training.

  • Partnering with tradesmen to provide access for apprenticeship opportunities in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.

  • Looking to expand into developing opportunities to both rehab and redevelop low-income housing as well as possibly providing employment opportunities for these initiatives to prospective individuals.

  • Developing and offering farming through our greenhouse initiative.

RESULTS & OUTCOMES

  • These initiatives will look to improve the social and economic disparities of our community in the following ways:

  • A better-prepared workforce that is equipped for the 21st-century internet-based economy.

  • More developed business-minded individuals.

  • A better balanced, stable and reliable people who are stronger in how they relate to both interpersonally & to those outside of their spheres of influence.

  • Safer, production & prosperous communities that can demonstrate possessing resources to house, employ & serve themselves instead of being dependent on other communities.

  • Stronger men & women in the communities mean stronger families, churches, homes, and businesses.

  • Planting the seeds for creating generational wealth for the next generation to come.

  • Providing alternative education options that avoid the high cost of traditional college yet providing access to training that will ultimately lead back access to the trades skills that once obtained can lead to a solid paying skill that will always be in need and can be a starting point to opening a business.
